Chronicles of the Unexplained

There’s a side of Ontario most people never see, a shadowy realm where strange lights dance in the sky, ghostly figures wander forgotten buildings, and the woods whisper of creatures science refuses to acknowledge. This is the territory I explore in Chronicles of the Unexplained.
This section of The Explorer’s Journal is dedicated to the pursuit of the paranormal: ghosts, aliens, cryptids, and everything in between. From haunted hotels and abandoned buildings to lakes rumored to house monsters and forests known for Bigfoot sightings, Ontario is full of places where the line between folklore and reality blurs.
I’m not here to debunk, nor blindly believe. I’m here to investigate, to walk the dark roads, speak with witnesses, document what I find, and see if these legends carry any truth. Whether I’m chasing lights over Lake Ontario, exploring the ruins of a cursed lodge, or following reports of strange howls deep in Algonquin Park, I go where the stories take me, and I won't be exploring alone. For these adventures, I will be teaming up with my adventuring friend, Kevin Moe.
Along the way, we'll dive into the tools and techniques that help separate campfire tales from possible evidence. From EMF meters and trail cams to night vision and audio analysis, we’ll explore the gear and methods used by modern investigators. This isn’t just a one-way journey, I want to learn from you, too. Together, we’ll share best practices, test theories, and refine our approach as we face the unknown side by side.
Chronicles of the Unexplained is not just about belief, it’s about the thrill of the unknown. These are field notes from the edge of the rational world, and if you’re brave enough, you’re invited to follow along.
